In my mind, summer = fruit. When the boiling August sun is beating down, the only way to stay sane is to eat some fresh fruit. There’s nothing better than heading down to the local farmer’s market and picking up some of nature’s candy while it’s in season. Pair it with yogurt and granola, and you’ve got yourself a bowl of pure bliss.
Do it yourself:
- protein: whole fat Greek yogurt (careful to steer clear of brands that add sugars and mysterious additives, especially common in low fat/ non fat options)
- healthy fats: nut based granola
- vitamins & minerals: FRUIT ON FRUIT ON FRUIT! Here, I used banana, blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry.
