Today, I could not decide on one thing to eat for lunch. Sometimes, the powerful urge to snack overcomes my willpower, and I simply must give in. Eating this array of my favorite snacks is the perfect way to quench my craving to munch without overeating or drowning in pure carbohydrates.
Do it yourself:
- whole wheat crackers — any brand is good as long as it’s whole wheat and has no added junk (like sugar or tons of salt)
- sharp cheddar cheese — a source of protein and a little bit of calcium; plus it’s delicious!
- pistachios — full of protein and healthy fats; nuts are absolutely my #1 go-to snack
- hard boiled eggs — PACKED with protein & low in calories
